Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) is Morocco's elite American-model liberal arts university, founded in 1995 by King Hassan II, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, and President Bill Clinton. Fully English-medium institution. Schools of Business Administration and Economics (AACSB accredited), Science and Engineering, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Located in the alpine resort town of Ifrane — nicknamed 'Little Switzerland.' US-style campus with semester system, credit hours, and liberal arts general education.
