It is one of Spain's largest and most prestigious institutions, ranking as the fourth largest university in the country. With over 60,000 students and approximately 3,641 faculty members, UGR operates 17 faculties covering arts, sciences, medicine, law, economics, psychology, translation studies, and more. The university maintains campuses in Granada, Ceuta, and Melilla, making it one of the few intercontinental universities globally. In 2014, UGR was voted the best Spanish university by international students. The Center for Modern Languages welcomes over 10,000 international students annually.
