University of Newcastle

The University of Newcastle (UON) is a research‑intensive public university in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. With roots in higher education from the 1950s and formal independence achieved in the mid‑1960s, UON is recognised globally, ranking within the top 1 % of universities and within the top 200–300 in world university rankings.
