The university consists of 13 faculties and 8 educational institutes covering a wide range of disciplines including sciences, humanities, law, economics, and medicine. With approximately 29,000 students, it is the largest university in Ukraine by student enrollment and number of specializations. The university maintains strong research programs and has produced numerous notable alumni who have contributed significantly to Ukrainian society, science, and culture. It operates as an autonomous research university and consistently ranks first among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
