About the university
The University of Rzeszow is a public university located in Rzeszow, the capital of the Podkarpackie region in south‑eastern Poland. Established in 2001 through the merger of several local higher education institutions, it now comprises multiple faculties in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health, art and technical disciplines. The university educates around several tens of thousands of students in nearly 70 degree programmes at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. It offers modern laboratories, a medical faculty, a strong humanities and social sciences profile and growing international cooperation, including Erasmus+ exchanges and selected programmes taught in English.

Campus life at the University of Rzeszow is centred around several teaching buildings, laboratories, the main library and a complex of student dormitories located close to the city centre. Students can participate in numerous scientific circles, cultural events, festivals, concerts and conferences organised by faculties and student organisations. The university sports centre offers indoor halls, gyms and access to team and individual sports. Rzeszow itself is a medium‑sized, safe city with cafes, shopping centres, cinemas and good public transport, so students can easily combine study, part‑time work and social activities.

Internships: The University of Rzeszow cooperates with regional authorities, schools, hospitals, companies and NGOs to provide internships and practical placements for students. Many degree programmes include compulsory internships in the curriculum, especially in education, social work, health sciences and economics. The Career Office (Biuro Karier) supports students in finding internships, publishes offers from employers and organises job fairs where students can meet potential companies. Participation in Erasmus+ also allows students to complete traineeships abroad in partner institutions and enterprises.
