About the university

The University of Castilla–La Mancha (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, UCLM) is a public university created in 1982, with its main campus in Ciudad Real and additional campuses in Albacete, Cuenca, Toledo, Talavera de la Reina and Almadén. It offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs across a wide range of disciplines including engineering, sciences, health sciences, law, economics and business, humanities, education and social sciences. With about 25,000–26,000 students, UCLM has a decentralized structure serving the whole Castilla-La Mancha region. It appears in major global rankings (THE, QS, Shanghai) around the 900–1000 band and in the top 400 in Europe. Teaching is mainly in Spanish, with some bilingual and international initiatives.
