About the university
The University of Brasília (UnB) is a federal public university located in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, established in 1962 with a mission to produce, integrate and disseminate knowledge while educating responsible citizens committed to ethics, social responsibility and sustainable development. Serving as a major research and educational hub, UnB comprises four campuses including the main Darcy Ribeiro campus and hosts 26 institutes and schools with a broad spectrum of academic offerings across sciences, engineering, humanities, social sciences and professional programs. The university is recognized nationally for its contributions to research and inclusive education policies, including pioneering a serial evaluation entrance program (PAS) and affirmative action measures.
