About the university
The University of La Laguna (Universidad de La Laguna, ULL) is a public university located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain. Officially founded in 1927, its origins go back to a seminary established in 1701. ULL has several campuses in La Laguna and Santa Cruz de Tenerife and offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs across humanities, social sciences, health sciences, sciences, engineering and education. It is recognized in rankings such as Shanghai and CWUR and has been highlighted as one of Spain’s strongest universities in humanities. The university has around 20,500 students and plays a central role in higher education and research in the Canary Islands.
