Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM)

Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMex) is a public university based in Toluca, Estado de México. It was established in 1956; its roots go back to 1828. The main campus is at Instituto Literario 100, Toluca; the university has about 10 campuses across the state (Amecameca, Atlacomulco, Ecatepec, Texcoco, Valle de Chalco, Valle de México, Teotihuacan, Zumpango, and others). It offers high school, over 100 undergraduate programs, master’s and doctoral degrees in nine broad fields. UAEMex is one of the largest public universities in Mexico by enrollment. Teaching is mainly in Spanish. Several programs have international accreditation (e.g. Medicine, Law, Engineering, Biology).
