Peking University, founded in 1898 as the Imperial University of Peking, is a leading research university in Haidian, Beijing. Campus includes Weiming Lake and historic gardens. Eight faculties: Sciences, Informatics, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics and Management, Interdisciplinary, Health Science (with six affiliated hospitals). Apply first to PKU, then via Chinese Embassy/Consulate. PKU International Student Scholarship also available. For Chinese-taught programmes: HSK 6 (180+ undergrad, 200+ science grad, 210+ humanities grad). For English-taught: TOEFL/IELTS. CGS for English-taught programmes may not cover full tuition; check current rules.
