Universidad de Colima (UCOL)

The University of Colima is a public institution based in the city of Colima with multiple campuses across the state, including Manzanillo, Tecomán and Villa de Álvarez. Founded in 1940 as the People’s University of Colima, it offers undergraduate and graduate programs in health sciences, engineering, natural and agricultural sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts and business. The university focuses on regional development, port logistics, coastal and marine studies and environmental management, reflecting Colima’s Pacific location. Students have access to laboratories, libraries, hospitals, cultural centers and sports facilities and can take part in national and international mobility programs.
